Technical Details
The C-Tec Economy Status Unit connects to the EP203 Automatic Extinguisher Panel and provides remote indication of extinguishant “release imminent” with a mode select switch (Manual Only or Manual & Automatic).
As there can be up to 8 ESUs per EP203 panel, the first ESU connects to the relevant connector block on the Main Control PCB, inside the EP203 panel, via a 4-wire connection (2-wire power, 2-wire mode select). The wiring is then daisy-chained onto the remaining ESUs. A 6k8 end-of-line resistor (supplied in the main EP203 panel accessory pack) must be connected across the terminals of the last ESU on the circuit to allow the wiring to be line monitored for open and short circuit faults.
