Technical Details
The C-Tec Remote Status Unit connects to the EP203 control panel and provides a remote status indication, an LCD status display unit, manual release of extinguishant, an extinguishant mode keyswitch and three monitored inputs.
As there can be up to 8 RSUs on one EP203 panel, the first RSU connects to the relevant connector block on the Main Control PCB (mounted inside the EP203 panel) via a 4-wire connection (2-wire power, 2-wire RS485). The wiring is then daisy chained onto the remaining RSUs.
Each RSU must have its own unique address between 1 and 8. This is done using a DIL switch to select the address using binary.
